Rework
THE RW SERIES ARE COMPATIBLE WITH CONVENTIONAL & LEAD FREE SOLDER*.
CUSTOM NOZZLES AND FOUNTAINS FOR LEAD FREE SOLDER ARE ALSO AVAILABLE!
*Lead free solder may necessitate optional nitrogen inertion of entire system to minimize dross formation. Ceramic coatings are also available to combat the corrosive nature of lead free solder and other materials such as tin.
The RW Series (RW116 shown) is the only through hole soldering machine on the market with a PCB capacity of 24"x24" (610x610mm). It has been engineered to provide high thermal performance and is easy to use through intuitive commands. Execution is accomplished through a convenient menu based touch screen. Long life is inherent by design. The use of high MTBF components and state of the art technology incorporated into this robust machine enhance its productivity. The machine is capable of accepting a wide variety of quick change solder nozzles, up to 20 x 2", to accommodate most connector sizes and PGA's. Fine pitch components or connectors are easily accomodated. The RW series exhibits excellent thermal distribution over the entire solder wave area of any nozzle. This allows thru hole components with high thermal demands such as DC-DC converters, heat sinks and others to be evenly heated, and removed quickly and consistently without the temperature gradients often found in other equipment.
Features of this machine include multi axis fully adjustable PCB fixturing with powered descent over the solder nozzle, solder pot lip ventilation (under PCB), and very fast (60sec. or less to 100° C) convective preheat without overheating the PCB. Foot pedal actuation is also standard for hands free operation of the soldering cycle. Networking is also available for those who demand the ultimate in process control and reporting. ISO process compliance is facilitated with documented and restorable process parameters.
